How well do you know the Word of God? Could you know it better than you do? Are you satisfied with where you are at spiritually, or would you like to change and grow? Are you struggling in your relationships? The Word of God has the answers. As the Word transforms your mind, every aspect of your life will be touched with eternal truth and hope (Romans 12:2).
Rocky provides quality, Bible-based Christian Education. This education is known as the Bible Institute of Rocky – better known as B.I.R. Each semester there are numerous classes that one can choose to take.
Why a Bible Institute?
Have you ever wished you could go to Bible school? Do you want to identify and use your spiritual gifts? Are you equipped for ministry? The Bible Institute of Rocky is a church-based program that provides serious instruction in all areas of Bible and theology. That means you do not have to move or leave your job in order to get solid Bible and ministry training. Our goal is to equip you: • to know what and why you believe • to be able to accurately interpret the Word • to use your spiritual gifts • to become an effective leader.
The Word of God instructs us to train ourselves as if we were preparing to run a race. Pursue the goal! Earn a Certificate in Biblical Studies in 3 years by taking only one class at a time. All of the classes are offered for credit or simply for personal enrichment. Anyone interested in growing in their knowledge of God and His Word is encouraged to take a class.
Some classes may be offered as seminars.
What is the purpose of the program?
The desire of the Bible Institute of Rocky is to help students have a proper view of God and a deeper understanding of His Word in order to better serve Him within the local church. Our goal is to train disciples who are 1) grounded in the Truth, 2) discerners of the Truth and 3) effective at ministering the Truth.
Facts about the Bible Institute of Rocky
Classes will be held at different times to make the program accessible to as many people as possible. Teaching is provided by the combined efforts of pastors and qualified, gifted lay teachers. Our teachers offer a variety of perspectives and teaching styles to challenge your thinking and broaden your perspective. The institute is offered free of charge, yet students are expected to take the program seriously by attending faithfully and doing the required homework. Requirements for each class will be determined by the teacher of that class. At Rocky you will have the opportunity to put into practice what you have learned and to exercise your spiritual gifts.

MEN'S FRATERNITY [for men]
Wednesdays, 6-7:30am @ Rocky Mtn Church
Saturdays, 7-8:30am @ Christian Church
Tuesdays, 6:30-8pm @ Mtn View Church
COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY (CBS)
meets 7:00 - 8:30pm at Rocky on Mondays, Sep 12 through April with a 3-week break in Dec. Study is in Hebrews, Colossians & Philippians. For more info, please contact Robbie, 584.5260 or Linda, 577.8585.
Daytime class for women of this same study is offered at Mountain View Bible Fellowship on Tuesdays, 9:15 - 11:15am, with preschool and homeschool classes for kids as well.
Teen CBS
CBS teen core group meets Mon evenings, 7:00 - 8:30 at Rocky beginning Sep 12. Time in the Word, snacks, meet new friends, and catch up with old ones. Call Sue, 586.2337, for more info.
